Built in the 1920s in the luxurious surroundings of Coral Gables, the Biltmore Hotel is famous for retaining much of its old pre-Depression glamour. Don’t be surprised if you’re served your four-course meal by waiters in white gloves, or end up putting next to your favorite celebrity at the Biltmore’s famous 18-hole championship golf course.

Location. The Mediterranean-inspired Biltmore Hotel-Coral Gables stands 15-stories tall in Coral Gables, Fla. overlooking an 18-hole golf course. Modeled after the Giralda Tower in Seville, Spain, this hotel sits two miles from the Village of Merrick Park Mall and Miracle Mile. Coconut Grove is three miles from the hotel. The property is six miles from Dadeland Mall.

Hotel Features. The Palme d’Or provides guests the opportunity to create personalized menus from 20 tasting dishes and offers an extensive wine list. A French cuisine menu is served Tuesday through Saturday for dinners only. Fontana Restaurant specializes in seafood, Mediterranean appetizers, pastas and grilled meats in a courtyard setting amidst live music.

Located within an immaculately landscaped courtyard and surrounded by cabanas sits the Biltmore Hotel-Coral Gables’ 23,000-square-foot outdoor pool and 23-foot waterfall. Cardiovascular equipment, free weights and a variety of classes including yoga, body sculpting and Pilates are located in the fitness facility.

The world-class Biltmore Spa features facials, body wraps, aromatherapy, massages, pedicures and manicures. The hotel provides 34 meeting rooms totaling 76,000 square feet and a business center with fax machines, copy machines, word processors and high-speed Internet access.

Guestrooms. The 275 guestrooms of the Biltmore Hotel-Coral Gables showcase original art and light-wood furnishings evoking a Mediterranean décor. European feather beds offer Egyptian-cotton duvet covers, Italian Frette linens and feather pillows. Amenities include satellite television and high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. Minibars are provided in each room. Refrigerators are available on request (surcharge). Marble bathrooms feature signature robes, slippers, and Gilchrist and Soames toiletries.


Biltmore Golf Course

Adjacent to The Biltmore sits the 6,800 yard, par 71, 18-hole championship golf course. Originally designed in 1925 by Donald Ross, a transplanted Scotsman who was the pre-eminent golf designer of his era, the course has long attracted celebrities, pro athletes and dignitaries. It got a 2007 update courtesy of architect Brian Silva and now includes a full service golf shop featuring custom club fitting, GPS navigated golf carts and a variety of instructional programs.
