Aberdeenshire is a part of Scotland that may not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking about the perfect Scottish holiday. But there is so much to do and so much variety that it really can give you the very perfect holiday. From beaches to mountains to whisky there is so much to enjoy.

For seaside there is a beautiful string of coastal villages along the Moray Firth such as Portknuckle. Built as a herring fishing village on a beautiful coast line with crashing waves and jagged rocks. A little way in land Green Castle has 3000 years of history to explore. Or if you like a walk to take into the scenery walk from Portknuckie past the Bow Fiddle Rock and the fabulously named Whale’s Moo. The walk is three miles but well worth the effort.
