The AAA Five-Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has come to reflect the dynamic environment that surrounds it — where sun-washed stone and bright green cottonwoods rise up to meet the pale-blue sky and majestic purple mountains.

Boasting Willow Stream Spa, one of the best Spas in North America (as ranked by Travel + Leisure Magazine), four award-winning restaurants, state-of-the art meeting facilities, and two 18-hole championship golf courses — one of which is home to the Annual PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open) – this highly acclaimed Scottsdale hotel resort is truly an experience like no other.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resembles a grand Mexican colonial estate, backed by the McDowell Mountains of Scottsdale, Arizona. Winner of the AAA Five Diamond Award, the resort offers 651 rooms, suites, and casitas overlooking crystal blue pools, deep green fairways, flower-filled gardens, and the desert itself. All accommodations provide separate living and working spaces, enormous baths lined in Mexican tile, and furnished terraces or balconies. Year-round outdoor fun begins at Sonoran Splash, a 6,000-square-foot water recreation area. Tennis players find expert instruction at the seven-court tennis center, while golfers tee off at two Tournament Players Club championship courses. For guests seeking rejuvenation, the 44,000-square-foot Willow Stream Spa provides 25 treatment rooms, many with private patios.

I have been traveling to Myrtle Beach since 1990 for great golf vacations and for the last four years with my golf buddies, Ferd, Fred, Tim, Dennis, Richard, Peter, and Mike F. on our annual golf trip. Since this was to be our 5th year we decided to try a new venue. After careful review of a number of alternate locations we arrived at Scottsdale, Arizona as this years golf destination. We were hoping for reasonable weather as the week before we arrived the temperatures were in the high 70 s, which is perfect for golf. When we arrived the temperature rose into the high 80 s and low 90 s, which is hot but still playable. It is a drier climate so the heat was not as formidable as in the north or southeast where the humidity will make it feel much warmer than it is.
