It faces the world famous Copacabana Beach and yet is only minutes from the business centre, and the Ipanema and Leblon districts of Rio de Janeiro. The hotel is located eight miles from the domestic airport, Santos Dumont, and 20 miles (about 40 minutes drive according to the traffic conditions) from Rio de Janeiro’s international airport, Tom Jobim.

Rooms & Suites

The Copacabana Palace has 245 rooms and suites in total, 147 are found in the Main Building, of which 71 are suites and 76 are bedrooms. The brand new accommodations with city view, located in the Tower Wing Building, comprising a total of 58 suites and 40 bedrooms.

Each of them is individually designed with fine period furniture and original works of art, giving a elegant yet relaxed ambiance. Views are either of the world-famous Copacabana beach, or towards the city.

Guests of the Copacabana Palace have the choice of two of Rio de Janeiro’s finest restaurants, The Hotel Cipriani Restaurant and The Pérgula Restaurant.

Chef Francesco Carli prepares both traditional and innovative Italian dishes. Carli previously worked in the Orient-Express Hotel Cipriani and Palazzo Vendramin in Venice and many of the dishes are the same as those on Hotel Cipriani’s menu.
