South Seas Island Resort will have a fresh new face when it reopens this spring after a multimillion-dollar renovation. The 330-acre island resort specializes in world-famous beachgoing on the Gulf of Mexico—plus personalized service to enhance every stay.
Guests will arrive via a causeway linking the airport at Fort Myers, Florida, to Sanibel Island. From there, a tree-shaded road leads to Captiva Island’s northern tip, where the plantation-style resort nestles among lush mangroves and cabbage palms. A wildlife preserve and estuary cover half the property.
