Alister MacKenzie crafted the West course in 1926, during his one and only visit Down Under. The course lacks a single water hazard, but its stylishly crafted and strategically placed bunkers and speedy and contoured greens place an emphasis on precise shotmaking. One notable hole is the par-3 fifth, which has a fiendish false front.

The Sandbelt sister to the more famous West boasts six holes that were utilized on the Composite course, the best of which, Nos. 3, 4, 17 and 18, comprised the finish. Alex Russell and Vern Morcom, who apprenticed under MacKenzie in his 1926 visit, laid out the East in 1932, but the differences in quality are subtle. The East may suffer from less dramatic terrain than its sibling, but its bunkering, green complexes and shot values are equally compelling

Although the club is private, reservations are available during the week, subject to availability.
