Bermuda’s most venerable cottage colony rests on an eighteenth-century hillside plantation above the island’s sunny southern shore. Secluded by 25 acres of wooded grounds and lush gardens, guests of Horizons and Cottages enjoy a traditional Bermudian retreat, including a classic afternoon tea and maids to prepare and serve breakfast in guests’ own cottages.
The Main House sports pure Bermudian whitewashed keystone corners and knee-high cedar fireplaces along with nine guest rooms. All provide private baths, seating areas, and terraces or balconies. The 14 cottages contain from one to five bedrooms, each with a private bath and breakfast terrace. Membership in Relais & Châteaux reflects the combination of Old World charm and the highest modern standard of luxury.
