Fun on the Las Vegas strip
When you land at the Las Vegas airport, you’ll know you’ve arrived. There’s no mistaking this town for any other on the planet. The glamour starts at your gate. But it’s a mere taste of what’s in store. Because if everything you know about Vegas comes from a vacation you took years ago or a movie you once saw, you’re in for a surprise.
Modern Vegas truly is like no other place on earth. Perhaps because of its reputation, or perhaps in spite of that, the world’s top everything have converged in this city of indulgence to offer the ultimate in experiences for well-researched travelers. Sure you can still find a cheap shrimp cocktail, but you’re more likely to stumble across craft cocktails or fusion dishes delicately designed by chefs whose names you’re already familiar with. And they’re joined by fashion designers, hoteliers, brands and celebrities of equal status.
There’s still plenty of the gaming you love, to be sure. But now your pit stops to refuel, refashion and relax are among the best in the world. The chefs you know and love have all set up shop here. Batali, Puck, Lagasse and more. And the design houses have followed suit. Stock up on stilettos by Jimmy Choo, handbags by Chanel and jewels by Harry Winston.
Of course, you don’t have to be a member of the royal family to enjoy yourself. That’s the magic of this town – there really is something to satisfy everyone. And every budget.
Favorite destinations for the other 99 percent of us include Fashion Show, The Forum Shops at Caesars or even the Las Vegas Outlets. There are dozens of shows in this town. There are, of course, the ever-popular Cirque du Soleil spectaculars, which live up to the hype. And the celebrity-headlined shows like Penn & Teller’s stint at the Rio.
