With the opening of the Mondrian Soho in New York to  its eminent Mondrian brand, Morgans Hotel Group enchants guests with yet another innovative vision by Benjamin Noriega Ortiz, inspired by Jean Cocteau’s cinematic interpretation of the tale of “La Belle et la Bête”. With Mondrian’s design, Noriega awakens the imagination and invites guests into a fantasy that offers an escape.

The hotel boasts a mesmerizing ambiance that captures the sparkling charm and romance of New York, Imperial No. Nine – a modern sustainable seafood restaurant by chef Sam Talbot, Mister H – an intimate downtown nightlife concept by Morgans’ own Sal Imposimato and Armin Amiri, and 270 guest rooms – each with stunning views wrapping around the island of Manhattan, custom-designed bath fixtures, and a clever nod to the tale here and there.

Make yourself at home in one of the 270 air-conditioned rooms featuring iPod docking stations and minibars. Your bed comes with down comforters and Egyptian cotton sheets. Plasma televisions with cable programming provide entertainment, while wireless Internet access (surcharge) keeps you connected. Bathrooms have designer toiletries and hair dryers.

Helmed by native Sicilian and former executive chef for Todd English, Chef Victor LaPlaca, Isola presents fresh and flavorful Italian cuisine that captures the spirit of the Italian provinces, where food, wine and hospitality are celebrated in everyday life. Modeled after the famously lush landscape of the Bobboli Gardens in Florence and the private Italian estates that line the country’s coast, Isola is a magical escape within Mondrian SoHo’s 5,000 square foot greenhouse space, which features a hanging glass sculpture by artist Beth Lipman.
