Sturgis Motorcycle Rally South Dakota

For those who like bikes, there’s no place like Sturgis, a small town (population 6,442) that annually hosts the biggest motorcycle rally in America. Historians trace the event back to 1936, when Clarence ‘Pappy’ Hoel established an Indian motorcycle franchise in town and founded the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club. Two years later, the club held the first Black Hills Motor Classic, with nine participants and a small audience.

The seat of American government Washington District of Columbia

The seat of American government is also a beautiful city, a celebration in marble and stone of the ideals on which democracy was founded. Though laid out roughly according to the original 1791 plan by French military engineer Pierre-Charles L’Enfant, the city has changed considerably over the years. Even its centrepiece National Mall—a majestic two-mile greensward running west from the Capitol Building, lined with some of the nation’s most important monuments and civic and cultural institutions—didn’t assume its current form until the early 20th century

Centuries of growth have formed tropical rainforests, forking rivers and cascading waterfalls. Some parts of Kauai are only accessible by sea or air, revealing views beyond your imagination.

The trees are bare, the ground is cold, the last of the leaves are on the ground. Winter is fully settled in our mountain peaks. It should be mentioned more as winter is a great time to visit!
